Pspgo hardware hack

These consoles still have tons of potential! Yes, they are new er , but why do they get a special category? Because they can do absolutely everything that their equivalent in the old category can do, plus their own set of features. The Vita with SD2Vita can octuple that number without even blinking.

Both are relatively easy to crack as well. The 3DS is stupidly simple, just needing some net-based toggles in place before a few files can be loaded off the SD card; going from zero to a hundred takes about an hour.

The next ones are still even better. Ha ha ha! First of all, you have to remember just how great the Playstation 3 is before it has any kind of modification done to it. Common video formats, like most x and base codec MP4s, can also be copied and played back at any time. Yep, they work too, and you can get a slideshow going, with music played off the hard drive. These are features that people usually need to hack to do.

The Wii U, while seeming less impressive on the surface, still has a couple nice things going for it out of the box as well. For example, everyone knows that it had all the Wii hardware inside of it, and can easily play Wii games. And, while it does need the gamepad to do many things, it also readily supports and actively uses Wiimotes as controllers for multiplayer and the like: which, as we established in the Wii category, are just about the cheapest controllers around.

The PS3 required a modchip for the longest time, unless you wanted to play NES games through a javascript emulator embedded in a video player exploit, which worked for about a month until Sony found and patched this vulnerability away. The Playstation 3 when hacked is, without exaggeration, the pinnacle of human achievement okay, maybe a little exaggeration.

It really is that flexible a fightcade. All this, plus its monstrous support for video and music playback, make the PS3 a giant…. Plus, you can install Linux on these. The best thing about these consoles is that getting all of these features unlocked is ridiculously easy; while neither system is as braindead-simple to hack as the 3DS or Wii, they are nonetheless simple enough to do on a day off from work.

If you love the idea of playing old school games on the couch with your buddies, then look no further than a PS3 or Wii U: or both, for the best of both worlds.

If you love your games on the go and want to show off your hacking chops without bringing people home with you, give a glance to the 3DS or PS Vita. He's gotten his hands on every console from Atari to Xbox, and he's cracked open every single one of them. He's Tenshishi, a name which is either a brilliant example of the flexibility of the Japanese language, or just a bad alliteration of the name of his favorite band We'd like to think that it's both. When he's not busting open old consoles, the wild Tenshishi enjoys reading and writing, drawing cartoons, and consuming media in the most convoluted ways possible.

Consider a direct competition between PS3 and PS4. I have almost all of these, but Wii is best because it can output p to a crt for classic game emulation.

I pretty much agree. Really, really great library support across those devices, and the handhelds and the Wii U to a lesser extent are comfy to play in bed. I definitely recommend getting a PS3 if you ever have a little extra cash lying around. The ps2 is easily moddable without swap magic if its a fat, just use FreeHDDBoot and once you have code exec make a spare memory card for backup just in case something goes wrong with the adapter or the hard drive.

I guess that clinches the PS2 as the winner of its category even more!.. Though mostly as a fat. The fat model does none of that, and has the hard drive option for game storage to boot!

You just need to burn a disk if your console is supported and play it. Then you can install freemcboot right from that. I wonder if a drive emulator for the PS2 would have more game compatibility than the hard drive solution.

Great article!!! The PS3 and Wii U are absolute power houses that can hold many generations of games. The PS3 never required a modchip, but needed a device called e-flasher to downgrade the system. The e-flasher was not installed inside the system just a one time deal. Again great article and I agree with you and enjoyed the read, Thank you. Reminds me of the days with my Dreamcast, and its super loud fan. It was jet engine in the room LOL.

Carelessness causes metaphorical fire. If so, you need to copy this folder to your PSP. Once done, you can now disconnect your PSP from your computer. Open up your memory stick under the Game section. You should now see some new exciting options examples from PRO-C!

Depends on what you want. When you turn off or reboot your PSP it will go back to original firmware until you click fast recovery again. However, in certain circumstances you can make this permanent.

This varies between PSP models, chipsets and custom firmware support. Instead of having to manually boot the PRO firmware, a utility will write it to a secret portion of the PSP that controls the start-up process. This means when your PSP boots up, it will run the cfw instantly instead of needing manual activation. What are the benefits? If you use a large memory card that official firmware cannot detect, it will more likely be detected on boot by the custom firmware.

You no longer need to open up fast recovery, or even keep any of the custom firmware utilities on your PSP. However, your PSP must be able to support this as certain models do not.

The Hackinformer guide will inform you whether this process is compatible with your PSP. Once done, it will reboot your PSP.

Even without opening the fast recovery utility! If your device is not listed, you will need to install via Infinity. Hey thnx. Wut a steal! Im trying to upgrade it and hack it. So all i need to do is make the magic memory stick and it will work? By Isoplanet. More by the author:. Did you make this project? Share it with us!
